So, some highlights:<br /><br />Day 1<br /><br />The flight itself was thrilling at the end when we came to land! we were able to see humongous mountains. soon, it looked to me as though the mountains had some sort of lake of ice between them, but i realized that there was a thick layering of clouds between the mountains...or rather that the mountains were protruding from a thick cover of clouds. I tried to take some pictures. the descent was also cool as we dipped through the thick layering and finally saw more of Chile.<br /><br />We arrived at the hotel and had six or so hours to do as we liked. The first thing we did was find lunch. we went to a gourmet pizza place that i estimate had at least 40 varieties of pizza. Food here in Chile comes with a lot of toppings, and the pizza weas no exception. each slice was loaded with a ton of cheese and whatever other toppings were ordered. I shared a pizza that had hamburger meat, tomatoes, and pepperoni. this pepperoni, in my opinion, was much better thqan the one used in the US. it had no visible fat, and had a very satisfying salty taste.<br /><br />I had some business to take care of that required internet, so i went to the business center (a small room with a computer) to complete it. however, when i looked up again it seemed as though everyone had gone, so i had quite a few hours to spend wandering around town wherever i wanted. i walked on a path that followed the coast line down past the huge white casino.
